This sunday, 30th november, pronoia records are fortunate enough to be able to put on a quality afternoons entertainment at our local fantastic venue, the george tavern on commercial road in E1, London. We have Viarosa, Helene, Electric Litany and Island Line all ready to make your sunday afternoon all that much better. Anyone who went down to last nights single launch will obviously know why. Congrats to the boys and if you want to hear it played, just go here and skip forward to 55 mins 20 secs. The band also got another spin on Radio 1 last night from Colin Murray who is championing the band every week during his show. Thanks to the normally impenetrable radio 1 and congratulations to the band. you lovely people can now buy tickets for our wonderful 5 year anniversary gig here. the night will celebrate the hard but very satisfying and successful five years we have been spent working on building Pronoia to what it is today. music on the evening will come via live performances by helene, viarosa and prego backed up as always by Paul Barker on the decks. the venue takes in the sleazy glitz of the soho revue bar so get your tickets asap to avoid missing out. prego have had a busy week; played on colin murray's radio 1 show, single of the week on iain bakers NME Radio show and a superb gig at the scala. All these things make the upcoming release of their debut single even more tantalising. The single launch will be held at the Water Rats in Kings Cross on Monday August 4th so come down and see what all the fuss in about. the utterly amazing video for pregos forthcoming single 'Cause and Resolve' has now had the final touches added to it and can be seen in its full glory at the bands myspace page. It has just been confirmed that the video will be added to the NME TV Radar playlist this weekend so go and check it out on the NME website next week. if you're a regular listener to BBCs Radio 2 (and you really should be) then keep a close ear on the majestic mark radcliffes programme from this weekend as you should start to experience the lovely tones of like a fox being played over the airwaves. it's been confirmed that the band will be appearing on his show over the next few weeks. Here at Pronoia, we've always been big fans of what we consider to be one of the best bands form London in the past few years, Helene. So we are absolutely delighted to announce that Pronoia will be releasing Helene's third album Heliotrope in September. After recently hearing the final mixes of the album, we are sure that all you Pronoia people will be very exicited about it too. Helene will be releasing a limited edition vinyl 7" single in the summer to precede the album and are currently looking at putting together some live dates to go along with both the single and full album. More details on all of these will be available very soon. In the meantime, the band have a gig at the 229 Club on Wednesday, 11th June so come along and see what you've been missing all this time. We are also very excited to be involved in the continuing success story of the band known as Prego. Prego have been building some amazing press and more and more fans are starting to flock to their live sets every week. Recently described as 'brilliant' by NME, 'diverse, exciting and wonderfully dynamic' by Rock Sound magazine and 'something special' by the mighty Daily Star before even releasing a note, we hope you start to see the potential of this fantastic band. So Pronoia are very happy and proud to be releasing their debut single 'Cause and Resolve' on digital and limited edition vinyl in August.
